Juice Fasting Recipes for Weight Loss: 40 Free Recipes on Kindle by Jenny Allan

Juice fasting recipes for weight loss have helped lots of people to reduce body fat. People go on juice fasts for all types of reasons nowadays and you should always consult your doctor first. These beverages can be used to make you slimmer and they can also form a part of a detoxification plan.

Jenny Allan has put together a collection of 40 free recipes that you can use to produce tasty, nutritious juices that can accompany a meal, or be enjoyed as a snack. While some individuals do manage to drink eight ounces of natural fruit punch or mango or orange juice and use it to replace a meal, I find that I get hungry again within an hour or two whenever I try that.

If you want to try this plan for losing weight, you can save money by buying fruits in bulk at a farmer’s market. You should also try to buy more fruits that are in season, since these are usually cheaper. Some of these drinks in her free book require added sugar. I don’t think that’s necessary. In fact, if you drink pure natural juice for a while without sugar, you get used to the taste and may even prefer it that way.

Remember that each blend Jenny Allan recommends has natural sugars, which are from the fruit that you use. She also gives tips on juicing that will be help you understand why certain ingredients are combined. If you are diabetic, vegetable juices will be better for you, since these contain less sugar. Remember to avoid fruit and vegetables that you are allergic to. For example, the essential oils in carrots and pineapples can cause allergic contact dermatitis in some individuals.

Her book gives recipes that combine fruit and vegetables with milk. You can also use yogurt. That’s a better option if you are planning to substitute a beverage for a meal. If you are looking for juice fasting recipes for weight loss, Jenny Allan’s book will prove useful, if you eliminate extra sugar where necessary.

Easy Sweet Fried Plantains Recipe- Jamaican Cooking

This sweet fried plantains recipe is for people who have had fried plantains before but aren’t quite sure how to do it themselves at home. There is a secret to producing plantains that tastes just the way you like it. You have to select the right fruit.

This article will focus on how to make fried sweet plantains for dinner, breakfast, lunch or a snack. Whether you are buying the fruit or reaping it directly from the plant, you should ensure that it is completely yellow before you use it to produce this dish. Ike bananas, green plantains have a variety of uses in Jamaican cooking and I enjoy those as well.

Plantains grow in the tropics and the leaves and fruit have different medicinal benefits. You can find lots of information online about the medicinal uses of the plant. I am sure that you will find them helpful.

Yellow plantains are much sweeter than green plantains. If you like your fried plantains very sweet, wait until the plantains have a touch of brown at the ends before using them. If you like them firm with a hint of sweetness, use them as soon as the color changes from green to a light yellow.

Coconut oil is best for frying but olive oil or any other oil derived from plants will suffice. Do not slice the plantains too thinly or they will be difficult to turn in the oil. When you have finished frying them, you can sprinkle them with a little brown sugar. However this is not necessary. Use an absorbent paper towel to remove excess oil from the fried plantain slices.

How to Get Yourself to Drink More Water for Better Breath and Health

Dry mouth is one of the contributing factors of bad breath. Dry mouth encourages the growth of bacteria that can cause halitosis. Some of us can eliminate dry mouth by simply drinking more water.

However, many people have dry mouth because of underlying medical conditions, medication that they may be taking, and other issues. In this case, your doctor can help you to find alternative medication, treat diseases and conditions that can contribute to dry mouth, and even determine which foods are helping to remove moisture from the buccal cavity.

There are some foods that we eat, such as turkey, that can be particularly dry. These take moisture from the mouth.

Ensure that you drink lots of water when having these foods. Don’t rely on wine or sugary drinks to moisten your mouth. These sometimes do more harm than good when it comes to keeping the mouth moist.

Keep a bottle of water with you at all times. You may keep a thermos of cold water with you at your desk or in your car. This eliminates the need for you to get up and go get water from elsewhere when you want it. Make a habit of sipping a little water every thirty minutes or so.

Don’t wait until you feel thirsty. By then, your body is already running low and is sending you a signal that you have to drink some water. You don’t want to reach low levels and feel dehydrated and tired. Use a water bottle to keep water with you wherever you go.

If you really don’t like drinking water, try munching on crushed ice. This will also supply your body with water. Regular food, coconut water, water that is lightly flavored with natural fruit juice and fruits that are low in calories all act as sources of water. However nothing beats drinking water.
Making a habit of drinking it at certain times of the day, such as in the morning or at lunchtime, makes it easier for your body to get the water it requires. Also consider substituting water for soda, if you drink that often. You may also have water and fruit juice with your meals, instead of just fruit or fruit juice.

Using Buttermilk Pancake Mix Without Eggs - Substitutes for People with Allergies

Buttermilk pancake mix makes it easy to cook this dish for breakfast. It is also easy to have one as a snack in the night while you are studying or doing other work. When using pancake mix, consumers often add fruit and other ingredients to suit their taste.

Sometimes men and women want to make this type of pancake without using eggs. This may be because they don’t like eggs, run out of eggs, are vegan or are allergic to eggs. Both adults and children can have egg allergies.

There are cases where individuals don’t immediately realize that they are having a bad reaction to the proteins in this food. They may attribute the symptoms of an egg allergy, such as coughing or nasal inflammation, to something else.

There are several different brands of pancake mix which are popular. These are used for making buttermilk pancakes, waffles and regular pancakes. They include:
1. Robby’s
2. Bob’s Red Mill Organic 7 Grain
3. Golden Malted
4. Stonewall Kitchen Farmhouse
5. Kodiak Cakes
6. Krusteaz
7. Arrowhead Mills
8. Fiber One

These already contain dry ingredients such as wheat flour, milk, cornmeal, malt, sugar and salt. In some cases, you add eggs, butter and water to the pancake mix. However some already come with egg whites and buttermilk powder added and you just need to add water.

If you don’t want to use eggs, using a teaspoon of baking powder and a teaspoon of baking soda for every 2 cups of flour will help your pancakes to be light. You can also use baking powder and mashed bananas as an egg substitute in buttermilk pancake mix.

The best bananas to use for this purpose are those that have started to develop brown flecks. Those are sweet. Using baking powder will make your pancakes soft and fluffy. You won’t really miss the eggs, especially if you decide to add sweet, soft, ripe bananas.

Help Kill Cancer Cells Naturally with Saffron and Black Cumin

Saffron and black cumin are found in kitchens around the world. These two spices are known as effective cancer fighting agents. If you do not currently use them in your home, that is one good reason to start doing so.

Saffron has been shown to prevent the formation of cancer tumors in mice. Like carrots, saffron is rich in carotenoids. Carotneoids are able to reduce your risk of developing cancer by destroying cancerous cells.
As a general rule, five servings of fruit and vegetables are recommended daily as part of diet to help prevent cancer.

Fruit and vegetables are rich sources of antioxidants which help to keep the body healthy. As time passes, more and more studies have shown that fruit and vegetables have a vital role to play in destroying cancerous cells throughout the body.

Eating carrots and using spices such as saffron gives your body the nutrients it needs to prevent malignant tumors from taking root. However too much of any one fruit or vegetable is not good. Similarly, most spices should not be used in excess since they can have a detrimental effect on the body.

Always vary the type of fruit and vegetables you eat so that your body does not accumulate any of the substances that may be found in any particular one. Over time, you should eat different fruits and vegetables and change around the spices you use as well. Variety really is the spice of life.

Black cumin has a different taste from saffron. It is also an effective cancer fighting spice. This agent contains substances that, like saffron, slow down the growth of cancerous tumors in mice. It is easy to add both of these spices to your diet. They will complement the spices you already use which also have a beneficial effect.

Use saffron, black cumin and other cancer fighting foods in conjunction with foods that are known to boost the immune system. Vitamin C strengthens the immune system and prevents carcinogens from being made inside the body. It goes to all areas of the body and destroys substances that contribute to the formation of cancer tumors. Vitamin C is found in fruits such as oranges, malunggay and cherries.
